My Guinea Pig Chirped....Like a bird!

Why does my Guinea Pig sneeze?
Guinea Pigs sneeze for a number of reasons, but the most commen is that they have a tickle on their nose. Another reason is that they might be sick and have a cold. You can tell this by - runny nose, watering eyes and a wet bottem. If this is the case take him to the vet as soon as possible.
My Guinea Pig is running around his house spraying pee everywhere?
When Guinea Pigs do this they are marking their territory, it just their way of scent marking and saying 'this area is mine'.
How come everythime my Guinea Pig cleanes it's self white snuff comes out of it's eyes? Is it normal for my Guinea Pig to have a scabby nose? No, there are several reasons why the Guinea Pig's nose is abit scabby or dry. Firstly, they could have a cold and this is just dry 'discharge' other reasons may be because she or he has mites, mites causes skin loss and scabbyness to soft areas to a Guinea Pig's body, such as nose, eye sockets and ears. If this is so, get some 'Neem Oil' and 'Veggie Oil' and mix it together and smooth it all over the Guinea Pig, making sure to get none of the liquid in their eyes or ears. If this doesn't worl then take them to the vet.
How can I tell if my Guinea Pig has mites? They way to tell if a Guinea Pig has mites or not, it quite easy. First check - get the fur and part it so you can see the skin, do this is several places near the back, neck and stomach. You can tell if they have mites or other parasites because you will either see them moving around. Mites range from orange to clear. And also you can see fur comming apart from the skin. If they have mites you will also see intense loss of hair loss and scabbyness around soft areas. If they do have mites get some Neem oil and Veggie Oil and rub it into their fur, leave to dry them wash out when you see hair groth.
My Guinea Pig won't eat! Not eating in Guinea Pigs means that hey are sick, either they have a mouth sore(teeth, gums) or they have a stomach problem, like a bug. This can be from eating the wrong type of food - such as a weed from out side, that they may have mistaken as grass. If this is the case, take them to the vet as soon as possible, that will give your Guinea Pig madicine - but remember never let the vet give your Guinea Pig a needle, some medicines are poisonous to Guinea Pigs and will make them ever more I'll which can lead to death. However don't just take your Guinea Pig after one day of it not eating - the stress of a vet picking up a Guinea Pig and prodding it with cold objects will stress it out, and cause it's illness to even get worse.
Is it okay if my Guinea Pig eats a tomato plant's leaves? No! Tomato plant is extreamly poisonous to Guinea Pigs, the only part they can eat is the actual fruit itself. If they do happen to eat the stem or leaves, take them to the vet straight away, as this is life-thretning.
Why does my Guinea Pig eat it's own poop? Guinea Pig's eat their own poop because it holds some form of vitimins, although it is quite rare for a Guinea Pig to eat it own dropping some Guinea Pig's will eat it so, don't worry if your's doesn't.
I can't get Timmothy Hay in my area, what else can I use? Although Timmothy Hay is the best thing to use as Guinea Pig bedding, there are others you can use. And they don't cost as much! There are all sorts of different hays and bedding that you can use - just remember to never use lawn clippings as they can contain all sorts of plants that your Guinea Pig can't eat. The sorts of bedding are things like 'Care Fresh' bedding, which can come in lots of colours and does not produce any dust which would make your Guinea Pig sick. When buying Guinea Pig bedding it is a good thing to know that make sure you can bedding that is sutible for Guinea Pigs and doesn't give of dust or strong smells.
Can I use towels as bedding for my Guinea Pig Cage?
Yes, although not as good as bedding - towels will provide soft bedding on your Guinea Pig's stomach and skin. Towels are great because the Guinea Pig can hide under it and make little beds. Don't worry if your Guinea Pig starts chweing at the cotton because they don't actually eat any. Another good thing is that when they are dirsty you can just wash the towels - or even better, throw them out.

How do you know if a Guinea Pig is happy?
Guinea Pig make a laughing sound to express their happiness, it sound abit like a high mumble, you can here this when a Guinea Pig is eating, being patted or with other Guinea Pigs. They will also bounce or 'popcorn' around the place when they are playing or excited. This is a sort of jump and flick in the air.
